Behind the Street Fighter V Champion Edition launch Last year, Capcom still had a few characters left in the bedroom. This fifth season has started with the release of Dan, but more characters are already warming up for cake time.
After having promised news for this week, the Japanese developer has fulfilled and has revealed juicy details on three of his upcoming male and female fighters. Rose, Oro and Akira Kazama Rival Schools have looked great.
The first to land on Street Fighter V Champion Edition will be Rose, which already has a release date. On April 19 we will be able to “taste” this character, that will make use of a V-skill that will empower or weaken the rival. On the other hand, his V-trigger will allow him to teleport behind the opponent’s back to punish him indiscriminately.
As to Gold, a character that we already saw in Street Fighter III, he will fight like old times too, although Capcom has given some of his moves a good facelift, such as the Tsuranekeashi, its characteristic kick. Gold will arrive in the game in the summer.
Last but not least, Akira Kazama from Rival Schools, has also been seen in a small gameplay. This character will have a V-trigger that will allow him to see his brother Daigo. Apart from the gameplay, where we have seen some of its combos, no further details have been commented.
Street Fighter and other fighting games have been on the lips of many and it is that EVO, the fighting games tournament, has been acquired by Sony, which confirmed the online edition this summer. Hopefully the mysterious Street Fighter V player who swept a tournament and donated the prize to charity attends.
