DC has The Justice League, Marvel has The Avengers and the action cinema of the 80s and 90s has The Expendables. Sylvester Stallone topped the cast in 2010 of a movie loaded with action stars from classic cinema from the 1980s and 1990s and somewhat from the early 2000s. Two sequels to The Expendables were not long in hitting theaters, and there was a fourth in process when everything fell apart in production.
But it seems that the gods of infinite ammunition, jagged knives and gas tanks that explode with astonishing ease are ready to meet again for another mission that will shake the foundations of the earth.
The actor Randy couture has been in an interview with The Jenna Ben Show in which he commented on the possibility that production of Los mercenarios 4 will begin this October, confirming that a new script for the film is being worked on.
The saga of The Mercenaries has had consecrated names of action cinema such as Arnold Schwarzenegger, Jason Statham, Dolph Lundgren, Jet Li, Terry Crews, Bruce Willis, Steve Austin, Chuck Norris, Liam Hemsworth, Jean-Claude Van Damme, Ronda Rousey, Wesley Snipes, Antonia Banderas, Kelsey Grammer, Harrison Ford and Mel GibsonBesides Sly himself and Couture, of course. While we remain wary of how explosive this production is for whether or not it may really start this year, it’s good to see all these tough guys ready to blow things up the old-fashioned way.
What do you hope to find in The Expendables 4?
