Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 3 to begin shooting this year, according to James Gunn

In 2014, Marvel Cinematic Universe welcomed into his family the Guardians of the Galaxy, a group of Marvel heroes relatively little known outside of the milieu of the most seasoned comic book readers. However, the special touch it gave him James Gunn to the film, as well as the cast led by Chris Pratt, Zoe Saldaña, Bradley Cooper, Dave Bautista and Vin Diesel, turned this group of raggedy intergalactic into a box office smash.

Unfortunately, despite the fact that there was a third Guardians of the Galaxy film scheduled after the success of Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 2, tensions between Disney and James Gunn over tweets ten years earlier led to the temporary firing of the director.

James Gunn is currently in the middle of a promotional campaign for The Suicide Squad, the DC movie he embarked on during the breakup period with Marvel. His film will arrive in August, but Marvel fans want to know when filming will begin on the third installment of Guardians of the Galaxy.

Through Twitter, James Gunn has answered that question when asked about when he would start filming Guardians of the Galaxy vol.3. The filmmaker has not hesitated to answer that this year, something that agrees with the calendar. Currently, the third installment of the films is scheduled for a premiere sometime in 2023, although with all the changes that are taking place it could be modified.
