A fan recreates the most mythical scene from Metal Gear Solid 3 Snake Eater with Unreal Engine 4 and Ray Tracing

The Metal Gear Solid saga is one of the most loved by the gaming community, and specifically Snake Eater, his third installment, is in the hearts of those who enjoyed it on PS2. It’s no wonder fans are looking forward to Konami or Hideo Kojima to release a remake of the game.

At the moment this possibility is just a great wish, but the fans never cease to amaze us. After seeing the impressive HD mod for Metal Gear Solid 3, now a fan has recreated the most legendary scene of the title with the Unreal Engine 4 graphics engine and Ray Tracing.

As you already know, in this scene we see how Big Boss, the protagonist of this installment, Climb some stairs while the theme Snake Eater plays in the background. Once it reaches the surface, the title of the game is displayed … but this scene made by a fan includes some surprises.

In case the incredible technical detail of this trailer seems little to you, which has Ray Tracing effects and textures recreated with the Unreal Engine 4, this fan has included more than one reference … in addition to an unpleasant ending that literally amounts to a ” snake eater ”.

When Big Boss rises to the surface, he hides in a box that clearly makes a reference to Death Stranding, another game by Hideo Kojima, but we can also see how a snake crawls into the box. Shortly after, Big Boss surprises us with his appetite … which honors the title of Metal Gear Solid 3.

This trailer is the work of the fan Warpgazer animations, and it certainly could almost pass for an official Metal Gear Solid 3 Snake Eater remake. The game was released in 2004 for PS2, but it can also be enjoyed in the compilation MGS HD Collection released on PS3 and Xbox 360, as well as a port for PS Vita and Nintendo 3DS.

As for the Metal Gear Solid saga, at the moment it is unknown what will happen to Konami’s IP. It is rumored that the Japanese company could subcontract studies to develop a new delivery, although for the moment Metal Gear Survive is the last we had of this legendary saga.
