The success of Final Fantasy XIV is still very present on PS4 and PC, judging by their brilliant numbers. Square Enix continues to support, releasing updates and content for its MMORPG, which was released in 2014 and which coming soon to PlayStation 5 with numerous improvements.
After learning that the open beta of Final Fantasy 14 will arrive on PS5 on April 13, its creators have shared official player figures of your online multiplayer title, along with the contents of the patch 5.5. And now we understand that the MMORPG is going to have another five splendid years ahead (at the very least).
Final Fantasy XIV has a total of 22 million registered users, from different parts of the world such as Japan, North America, Europe, China or South Korea. These figures also include the accounts that take advantage of the free trial, and everything indicates that the numbers will continue to grow with their release on PS5.
We remind you that Final Fantasy XIV on PS5 will not have a new graphic section, but it will have technical improvements, a better resolution, much lower loading times and better performance, in general. Along with the open beta (which will be available on the PS Store), Patch 5.5, Death Unto Dawn – Part 1, is coming.

Among the main novelties of this patch, we find new main missions for Final Fantasy 14, an extension of the raid of YoRHa: Dark Apocalypse, a new free trial and new challenges. Will be available on April 13th, the same day that the open beta begins on PS5.
Remember that after the arrival of part 2 of this new patch, the new expansion, Endwalker, will be available. Planned for fall this year, numerous enhancements will be included, and it will surely coincide with the release of Final Fantasy XIV for PlayStation 5.
