Great news for No Man’s Sky, the popular online game from Hello Games, that you can enjoy all PS5, PS4 players and the PS VR virtual reality peripheral. This is the big update Expeditions, which brings important news for the game.
Six months after the release of the Companions update, which introduced pets as the main playable element in No Man’s Sky, now the Hello Games team presents Expeditions, an update that introduces a new game mode on PS5 and PS4.
We explain what this new Expedition mode consists of: all players start on the same planet, and they will be tasked with a community expedition, with the possibility of completing all kinds of challenges and missions, collaborating between players and meeting a series of milestones.
By clearing these milestones and challenges, No Man’s Sky players unlock new content to use in the game, as well as recognitions and other incentives. Each season, the approach to this game mode will change, making it perfect for new players or veterans in the Hello Games title.
Basically, the expeditions are made up of different missions for each patrol, and these will change over the weeks. To begin with, and as an alternative to the existing modes (Normal, Creative, Survival and Permadeath), players will be able to unlock a number of rewards and use them in the rest of the modalities.
For example, completing this first expedition will give you access to an exclusive recon, a weapon, a new jetpack and an exclusive vehicle, but you can also get more recognitions and medals depending on the objectives you fulfill.
Once the current season of No Man’s Sky ends, the first expeditions will be saved as if they were Normal mode games, so we can continue without problems with what we get. Hello Games has prepared a number of new weapons, technology, new ships and customization options.
The journey continues in No Man’s Sky, and you sure want to try this new mode Expeditions, which comes as part of a free update to PS4, PS5 and PS VR. As data, this update will also come to Xbox Series X | S and Xbox One.
