Knockout City Open Beta this weekend, with crossover play on all platforms

Knockout City, EA’s new multiplayer proposal, will hold an open beta between all platforms this weekend. Players will be able to try this game from Velan Studios, a more sophisticated version of the dodgeball of all, in several of its modes.

The Knockout City beta will be available on nine platforms in total, and there will be cross-play between all of them: PlayStation 4, Xbox One, Nintendo Switch, PC (Origin, Steam and Epic Games Store), plus PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X | S thanks to backward compatibility.

The open beta, between April 2 and 4, will have all the content of the first closed one and even more: five balls (such as Moon, Cage, Bomb and Sniper), four maps (Trauma Works, Thunderous Roofs, Central Roundabout and Fight in the alley), three playlists and new styling and customization options.

All three playlists will each be available in one day. Attentive to the schedules:

  • Team KO
    • Start time: April 3 at 3 PM. CEST
    • End Time: April 5 at 3 AM CEST
  • Face to face
    • Start Time: April 2 at 3 PM CEST
    • End Time: April 3 at 8 PM CEST
  • Diamond catcher
    • Start Time: April 3 at 8 PM CEST
    • End Time: April 5 at 3 AM CEST

Starting on Friday, April 2, you can preload the beta on all platforms, and the servers will run until Monday, April 5 at 3 in the morning.


Just for participating in the beta, you will receive the Blue Glider and the Swashbuckling Gamer Icon as exclusive reward.

Knockout City will be available on May 21, and there will be a free trial version which gives access to the entire game. The progress of this trial version can be kept in the full game.
