James Gunn shares the first Suicide Squad TV spot with new footage

After the success (on HBO Max) of Zack Snyder’s Justice League, Warner and DC will return in the summer with another supergroup, which will be released in theaters: James Gunn’s Suicide Squad. In this new adventure many of the actors from the 2016 film will repeat, but as we could see in the trailer released last week, the tone is going to be very different.

There are still many months to go until its premiere, in theaters and HBO Max (in Europe, only in theaters) on 6th August. But the first television spot has already come out, shared by James Gunn himself on Twitter. And while it doesn’t last long, there are some new planes of action and destruction. What’s more, Thinker, the character of Peter Capaldi, speak in this spot (that’s suicide!).

Capaldi, best known for playing Doctor Who, is one of the most illustrious additions to a cast that includes Margot Robbie, Idris Elba, John Cena, Joel Kinnaman, Michael Rooker, Nathan Fillion, Viola Davis, Jai Courtney and even a Sylvester Stallone, voicing King Shark.

Precisely, from King shark is the character that everyone talks about, a character that we already saw in the series The Flash, and that will also appear in the video game that Rocksteady prepares about The Suicide Squad, due out in 2022 … although the shark looks very different from what James Gunn has given it.

The Suicide Squad is the next DC movie, the only one that will come out this year, although 2022 comes loaded with the recent confirmation of Black Adam, who will come out in between The Batman (March 2022) and The Flash (late 2022) .
