Surely you remember that a week ago there were rumors that the virtual stores of PS3, PSP and PS Vita will close permanently in the coming months (according to The Gamer). Today those rumors that many of us feared have gained even more force, because for a few hours Unable to access the PS3, PS and PS Vita Store from a web browser (thanks to user Raoh, from Resetera, which has been the first to notice).
At this time, if we try to access the page of a game for anyone from these platforms from a web browser, we are transferred to an error page (https://store.playstation.com/es-es/error). And what is more curious: that error page is housed within the new Store -characterized by the white color- in which you can only buy games for PS4 and PS5.
An important note, yes: it is still possible to access the PS3, PSP and PS Vita Store from the consoles themselves. So if you were planning to buy a game before the supposed disappearance … it might be a good idea to do it as soon as possible.
At the moment, Sony has not commented on the rumors of last week or on the disappearance of access through the browser. We will be very vigilant in case the during the next few hours make an announcement about it.
More than 80 million consoles sold for PS3 and PSPEach one, both consoles have stood the test of time thanks to a good number of games. On the other hand, although the success of PS Vita was less, the console brought a catalog of titles that are worth rescuing if you have the opportunity.
What do you think that access to the PS3, PSP and PS Vita stores may disappear? Should Sony take some measure to prevent many of the available games from being lost forever?
