New movies and series on Netflix, HBO, Amazon Prime and Disney + on the weekend (March 26)

We started a Holy Week almost as sad as last year when we could not (or should not) leave the city to spend time resting on the beach or in the countryside and disconnect a bit. Fortunately, what we will never miss are the premieres on the main streaming platforms to be able to be well entertained at home. And, as is usual in Hobby Consolas, below we recommend some of the best new movies and series on Netflix, HBO Spain, Amazon Prime Video and Disney Plus Spain to watch on the weekend of March 26, 2021.

We started the most outstanding releases of Netflix Spain with The Irregulars, a New platform original series based on the classic Sherlock Holmes stories by Sir Arthur Conan Doyle. Reinventing the famous Baker Street Irregulars, the series revolves around a group of teenagers who seem to be the only ones who can stop an imminent dark magical threat from destroying London without needing Holmes to help them.

Another of the best new Netflix series is DOTA: Dragon Blood, anime series made jointly by Netflix and Valve based on the magical universe of DOTA 2 and whose plot revolves around Davion, a renowned Dragon Knight dedicated to wiping the scourge from the face of the world who will be involved in various events greater than he imagines while having encounters with an ancient and powerful eldwurm and with the noble Princess Mirana, who is conducting a secret mission of her own.

If what you want is to have a fun time, among the Netflix premiere films we find Not a joke, Spanish comedy starring, among others, Nathalie Seseña, Goyo Jiménez, JJ Vaquero, Jordi Sánchez, Max Marieges and Ricardo Quevedo whose story centers on four couples who, seeing how their respective marriages are on the verge of breaking up, decide to attend a spiritual retreat in an exclusive Caribbean resort and thus try to save the relationship. Once there, they meet two love gurus who will help them in therapy to extreme levels, having to pass some of the most unusual tests in which they must even save their own lives.

Within the best premieres of HBO Spain we have Hannah, a drama starring Charlotte Rampling that focuses on an intimate portrait of a woman named Hannah, who lives between reality and denial when she is left alone after the imprisonment of her husband, having to face all the consequences that this entails on her own.

As for the best Amazon Prime Video premiere series, it is certainly worth noting Invincible, a new animated series created by Robert Kirkman and Cory Walker based on Kirkman’s own comic, whose plot tells the story of Mark Grayson, a 17-year-old who possesses the same powers as his father, the superhero Omni-Man, the most powerful person on the planet. Although he tries to follow in his footsteps, as Mark develops his own powers, he discovers that his father’s legacy may not be as heroic as it originally seemed.

Another of the best Amazon Prime Video series is Temperance, a co-production by Amazon Studios and Atresmedia Televisión starring Leonor Watling and Rafael Novoa. Based on the novel by María Dueña, the series is set at the end of the 19th century and its plot revolves around Soledad Montalvo and Mauro Larrea, self-made people whose destinies are about to converge. in a fascinating place and time, telling a story about overcoming adversity and finding our place in the world. A story about how to build an empire and lose everything in one day, about adventures in exotic lands and second chances. Here we leave you our review of Temperance.
