Drinkbox Studios, famous for games like Guacamelee! and Severed, have announced their new title during the presentation [email protected] on Twitch. And is that Nobody Saves the World, an action RPG, will be exclusive to Xbox Series X | S, Xbox One and PC (Windows Store and Steam). In addition, it will be available in Game pass from launch day.
Despite his name, someone will save the world. And it is that we are Nobody (that is the name of the character), who finds a magic wand that allows you to take different forms to overcome dungeons, fighting and completing puzzles and missions.
According to Ian Campbell, Lead Designer, Nobody Saves the World has everything they love about action RPGs, like many abilities, dozens of dungeons, hundreds of missions, endless ways to customize characters … without anything they hate, i.e grind.
Each form that we adopt acts as a class, and each will have their own abilities. And it will be the most fun of the game: from mice to horses (that can kick enemies), to an archer, a turtle, a strongman …
We will unlock more shapes as we complete more missions, not by defeating enemies. Each one of us can level it up and customize it with different skills. The dungeons, as usual in these games, will be procedurally generated. The icing will be the music, composed by the Sword and Sworcery composer Jim Guthrie.
Nobody Saves the World has no release date, but as we said, it will be exclusive to Xbox on consoles, also available on Steam. Other indie games for Xbox have been seen at the ID Xbox event, such as The Ascent, Moonglow Bay, Exo One or Death’s Door.
