“Does your mother know that you wear her clothes?“Who would have told us ten years ago, when we listened to Tony Stark saying that phrase in the Avengers movie after “meeting” Thor, that a decade later we would be talking about what we are going to deal with. The Marvel Cinematic Universe It has become one of the most massive franchises in film history, with 23 films released and a good number of films and series on the way.
The marvel comics have seen some of their most popular characters make the leap to the big screen to adapt some of their most representative arches, many of them with ingenious, although not always well received, changes.
Now, the characters are going to return to paper, but not to the vignettes of a comic, but to a literary style much more veteran than the creations of the House of Ideas. And is that the association between Marvel studios and Quirk Books will bring the parodic adaptation of the Avengers movies in a format in the purest style of the works of William Shakespeare.
The playwright’s legendary works have inspired the Seventh Art countless times. Now, films like The Avengers, Avengers: Age of Ultron, Avengers: Infinity War and Avengers Endgame, will be adapted to the style of the English author thanks to Ian Doescher. Perhaps you think it is a crazy idea and doomed to failure, but it is probably because you are unaware of the work of this author adapting films such as Shakespearean style Star wars o Back to the Future.
