Axiom Verge 2, The sequel to one of the most popular indie metroidvania of recent times, is progressing apace, and after several delays it will be released in 2021 on Nintendo Switch and PC (exclusively on the Epic Games Store).

After writing the story of the first game (which he describes as a love letter to the games of his childhood, such as Metroid, Blaster Master or Contra), he began to think about how to continue, and his response was to make a prequel.
However, they will be independent and complementary adventures, so you can play them in any order. In Axiom Verge 2 we play Indra, a billionaire who investigates in Antarctica what appears to be an alternate Earth, with its mountains, deserts and ruins of an ancient civilization.
Playable, Axiom Verge 2 will introduce many new elements, both mechanics and movements as well as enemies. But he does not want to give many more details so as not to spoil. What Happ does maintain in this video is that its launch will occur this spring, so in principle we could be playing Axiom Verge 2 in the next three months. It will be exclusive, at least temporarily, of Nintendo Switch and Epic Games Store. Happ explained the reason for the deal with Epic on his blog with unusual sincerity, thanking Steam for their support, where he released the first game in 2015.
