Warner has no plans for Zack Snyder’s Justice League sequels … or the Yesterday Cut

The crazy "medical receipt" offered by Zack Snyder's Justice League to miss work or class

Zack Snyder’s Justice League premiere last week on HBO has been a resounding success, and seems to have won over most of the public. As a result, a new campaign has started on Twitter: from #ReleaseTheSnyderCut, to #RestoreTheSnyderUniverse, that is, to give the green light to the Justice League sequels that Zack Snyder originally planned.

Sadly, it doesn’t seem to be in Warner’s plans. He said it Ann Sarnof, CEO of Warner Media, in an interview with Variety. When asked specifically about the aforementioned social media campaign, he has avoided giving any sign of hope, calling the Snyder movie “the end of his trilogy“and putting the focus on upcoming DC projects.

These were his exact words: “I appreciate that you love Zack’s work, and we are so grateful for his many contributions to DC. We’re really glad that he was able to deliver his Justice League cut, because that wasn’t in the plans until about a year ago. That completes his trilogy. We are very happy for what he has done, but also very excited about the plans we have for the multi-dimensional DC characters that are now in development. “.

Zack Snyder does seem to be interested in making a sequel, although right now he said he prefers to focus on other projects, away from the world of superheroes. However, it seems that DC’s current plans move away from that future that outline some of the new Justice League scenes … But maybe later, when the films in development of Batman (Pattinson), Suicide Squad, Aquaman or Flash? Sarnoff herself acknowledged that until a year ago there was no intention of launching the Snyder Cut, it was even considered impossible …

What perhaps we should consider buried is the Suicide Squad “Yesterday Cut”. In the same interview with Variety, Sarnoff was blunt: “We will not develop the David Ayer montage.” The news did not sit well with the director of the 2016 film …

Would you like Warner to give the green light to the Justice League sequels? The Zack Snyder montage leaves many unsolved clues for sequels, which were first planted in Batman v Superman, five years ago. Remember: The Snyder Cut, a year ago, was considered impossible
