Major changes in GeForce NOW: price goes up, but free mode remains

GeForce NOW

GeForce NOW is a cloud gaming service that has gone through a rather complex evolutionary process, but has come out well in the end. NVIDIA has known how to play its cards, and this has been noted in such important aspects as the integration of the main online video game platforms, and in the possibility of using both the games that we had already bought and those that we have obtained for free through various promotions.

To all of the above we must also add the good level of performance that GeForce NOW offers when we meet the requirements, especially at the connection level, and also the value of being able to access this service without having to pay a single penny. Yes, the free mode lacks some of the advantages that are exclusive to the payment method, but as we told you at the time it is still a very helpful way to play those titles that our PC cannot move due to lack of power.

Over the past year, GeForce Now has achieved important advances, among which we can highlight:

  • Integrate, from day one, releases as important as Cyberpunk 2077.
  • Support the best free games that currently exist.
  • Increase the library of available games, which now encompasses a catalog of more than 800 games.
  • Opening of new data centers across the globe to improve availability.
  • Expansion of capacity in existing data centers to improve the experience.
  • Improvement of the quality of the service by implementing numerous optimizations.

GeForce NOW says goodbye to Founders Edition subscription

When GeForce NOW came out of beta in February 2020, the Founders Edition subscription mode was unveiled. This subscription offered, for a price of 5.49 euros, priority access, continuous sessions of several hours and the possibility of enable DLSS and ray tracing in compatible games.

It was an interesting offering, but limited to a specific period of time, as it was intended to celebrate the exit of GeForce NOW from beta. Despite everything, this offer has been available for quite some time, and today we can confirm that it has come to an end. Hereinafter, the Founders Edition subscription disappears, and becomes “Priority”. Its price goes from 5.49 euros to 9.99 euros under a monthly plan, and 99.99 euros under the annual model.

To thank you for your trust, NVIDIA confirmed that everyone using the Founders Edition subscription they will be able to maintain the original price of 5.49 euros for life, Good news, no doubt. If you use the free plan, you have nothing to worry about, as it remains unchanged, at least until further notice.
