Dead Cells reaches 5 million copies sold, and announces Bad Seed DLC for mobile

The success of Dead Cells is confirmed by the latest sales data, which has been revealed by Motion Twin in the last hours. And it is that the roguelike title for PC, consoles and mobile devices has already reached the milestone of 5 million games sold, since its launch in 2018.

This is an excellent figure for Dead Cells, which has managed to distinguish itself as one of the best action and platform games of the last few years. Thanks to its excellent quality and the numerous DLC released (the last one in January, Fatal Falls), Dead Cells has achieved the wonderful figure of 5 million copies sold.

Although its commercial performance on PS4, Xbox One, Nintendo Switch (where it was free for Switch Online users) and PC has been very remarkable, the great boost it is due to the mobile market, specially in China. Its creators claim that in recent months millions of units of Dead Cells have been sold in that territory.

To celebrate this sales figure, Motion Twin has announced the Bad Seed DLC release date, the first paid content, for iOS and Android devices. Will be the March 30th when this DLC is available for mobile players, at a price of $ 3.99.

As data, in June 2020, Dead Cells had 3 million copies sold on all platforms, which means that in less than a year it has achieved sell 2 million. Motion Twin claims that it will release more additional content for its roguelike, which is challenging like few others.

The DLC Bad seed Dead Cells was the first downloadable content to be released by Motion Twin, but to date was not yet available for iOS and Android users. Its main novelties are the greater variety of enemies, final bosses, alternative routes and challenges.

Mainly, in Bad Seed we will run into an alternative route for each start of a phase. This means that we will not have to go through some areas, such as sewers, but instead we will have to face areas such as The Greenhouse in Ruins or The Swamp of the Exiles, among many others.

If you haven’t played Dead Cells yet, we highly recommend that you give it a try. The defiant roguelike of Motion Twin is available for PS4, Nintendo Switch, Xbox One, PC and mobile devices.
