The Corsair K65 RGB Mini 60% is the new keyboard of the American company, a model that, frankly, has not left us indifferentas it is very compact in size and also has a fantastic design. It is much smaller than the Corsair K60 RGB Pro, although it has points in common with that at the level of finishes.
As we can see in the images, the Corsair K65 RGB Mini 60% is a mechanical gaming keyboard integrated into a very small chassis, so much so that its size is approximately equivalent to 60% of a standard gaming keyboard. This means that it is 40% smaller, allowing it to fit seamlessly into any workspace.
We might think that, to achieve such a low form factor, Corsair has had to make significant sacrifices, but nothing is further from the truth. The Corsair K65 RGB Mini 60% does not renounce anything, neither in terms of build quality nor in terms of typical functions and characteristics of a gaming keyboard.
Corsair has combined a classic line, with angular edges and a black finish with a system of Premium RGB LED lighting, fully customizable, which runs the length of each of the keys. Yes, the backlighting is individualized for each key, which means that we can create endless effects with iCUE.
Corsair K65 RGB Mini 60%: mechanical switches and built-in functions
To compensate for the elimination of some sections that are present in a conventional keyboard, the Corsair K65 RGB Mini 60% includes shortcuts and frames that appear perfectly defined at the bottom of each of the keys. For example, the directional arrows are integrated into the letters «U, H, J and K», while the screen capture key is located on the letter «N». In the attached image you can see the distribution and grouping of each key, and each function.
I think Corsair has done a good job of reducing the size of the Corsair K65 RGB Mini 60% without leaving any functions or features in the pipeline, but what about the switches? This model comes with Cherry MX Red switches, a solution that, personally, is my favorite, since they offer a very good and balanced experience, both in games and when writing texts. Corsair has confirmed a shelf life of 100 million keystrokes, almost nothing. Also available with Cherry MX Speed switches, who give their best in games.
The Corsair K65 RGB Mini 60% also incorporates the Corsair Axon processing technology, which greatly reduces latency, that is, the time that passes from when we press until it reaches our PC, going from 8 ms recorded by standard gaming keyboards to just 0.25 ms. Awesome, right?
There is no doubt that the Corsair K65 RGB Mini 60% has everything you need to position itself at the top of the industry, both in terms of performance, performance, design and build quality, but that’s not all, it also offers numerous customization options, thanks to the different key kits available in various colors, including from mint green to arctic white. We can combine kits of different colors and differentiate some keys in red, others in green and others in blue, for example.
The Corsair K65 RGB Mini 60% is now available with a price of 129.99 euros.
