Wonderworld Balance It was a game that had high expectations, especially since it was the work of the duo that created Sonic the Hedgehog at Sega 30 years ago, Yuji Naka and Naoto Oshima. In January a demo was released on all platforms, but unfortunately the response was not very positive, and many users criticized the low difficulty or the slowness of the controls to be 3D platforms.
Now the game is around the corner: it comes out March 26 on PS4, Nintendo Switch, Xbox One and PC. And the game will come out as planned, although there will be a patch on the first day that will address several of the issues in the demo.
Noriyoshi Fujimoto, producer of the game that will be published by Square Enix, has communicated it in a web page entry. “There has been a wide range and opinions and responses to the demo, and unfortunately, at the current stage of development it is simply not feasible to reflect all parts of the feedback in the game. However, to provide you with a more balanced gameplay experience, we will implement a patch from day one for the final game.“.
This patch will adjust controls on motion, camera shake, and will rebalance the difficulty. It is striking that they have opted for a patch that you adjust and that they have not considered it necessary to delay the game, something that is usually common when the response of users to demos and betas is not positive.
Hopefully the full game, which will feature 12 colorful and imaginative worlds, will offer a greater challenge and more interesting gameplay. Of course, the premise is very interesting, with a message in which the positive and negative emotions of the world’s inhabitants they materialize into creatures in fantasy worlds. Each head of the world will be a person whose negative emotions have corrupted the dream world that we explore, and in which we must find what it is that torments that person in the real world.
