Trailer of Kung Fu, the reboot of the mythical TV series starring Olivia Liang

This 2021 Kung Fu, the iconic series from the 70s that starred the great David Carradine, will return to television in the form of a reboot from the hand of The CW and that this time he will star Olivia liang, actress known for her role in the film Into the Dark: Crawlers.

Liang plays Nicky, a young Chinese-American currently experiencing her quarter-life crisis. In response, she decides to drop out of law school and travel to an isolated monastery in China to find herself.

After returning home with some newfound fighting skills, he finds a San Francisco rife with crime and corruption. Nicky takes up the mantle of the neighborhood’s vigilante martial artist as he searches for the killer who killed his mentor, who begins to put Nicky in his crosshairs.

To whet your appetite for its premiere, The CW has released a brief Kung Fu trailer, which you can take a look at through the following video.

Apart from Olivia Liang, the Kung Fu cast is made up of actors Eddie liu (who debuts with this series), Tzi Ma (Mulan), Kheng hua tan (The Faith of Anna Waters), Gavin stenhouse (Black Mirror), Jon prasida (Hiding) and Shannon dang (Tijuana Jackson: Purpose Over Prison).

Under the direction of Hanelle M. Culpepper (NOS4A2, Star Trek: Picard, Counterpart), Kung Fu series will premiere on The CW on April 7, 2021. Meanwhile, here we remind you of some of the best new series that 2020 have left us that will have a new season in 2021.
