Shuttle XPC Slim XH410G It is a new model from the manufacturer specialized in compact PCs and the first to use a hardware base with Intel’s most advanced processors for desktops, the Comet Lake-S.

We like these mini-PCs. Computers that can be placed anywhere due to their compact size, on a computer desk or in the living room if you are dedicated to home theater or games, offices, kiosks or digital signage with limited space. It can be installed vertically or horizontally and also behind the monitor or hung on the wall with its VESA mount.

Shuttle XPC Slim XH410G only occupies three liters of volume with dimensions of 25 × 20 × 7.85 cm. To its size advantages, Shuttle adds those of versatility, since it offers the equipment in a barebone format where the user incorporates their own components such as memory, storage, expansion cards or operating system.

The computing power you need is provided by 10th Gen Intel Core desktop processors. Comet Lake-S with the option of using inexpensive Celeron or more powerful models Core i9 up to 65 watts TDP. Its memory and storage capacity is not far behind, up to 64 Gbytes of DDR4 RAM in SO-DIMM format, two M.2 slots for PCIe NVMe SSDs and additional space for another SSD / SATA hard disk.

Very correct also in connectivity, with some connectors that are distributed in the front and in the back and that add Ethernet LAN Gigabit; USB 3.2 and USB 2.0; HDMI 2.0 digital video and VGA analogue outputs, as well as those corresponding to the audio section. For those who need more graphics power than that offered by the integrated Intel, it includes a slot PCI-Express-x16-3.0 in which dedicated graphics can be mounted.

This slot can be used for other expansion cards like 10 Gbit LAN, Thunderbolt, sound, video capture, TV tuner or even a PCIe SSD to increase storage capacity. Confirming its great versatility, the second M.2 connector can be used to add elements such as Wi-Fi and Bluetooth.

Another outstanding feature of this team is the Remote Power On, which allows the PC to be started remotely, for example when placed in a hard-to-reach location. It has an external 180 watt power supply, while cooling is entrusted to an active heat pipe system with two 6 cm fans that the manufacturer promises to be silent.
