A Canadian retailer has listed the definitive specifications of the Moto E7, a smartphone with which Motorola is directly targeting the low-end. This model is shaping up to an economical alternative to the Moto E7 Plus, a smartphone that offers a more powerful configuration and that fits more well within the mid-range.
In terms of design, both models are very similar, and the same happens with the build quality, since both the Moto E7 and the Moto E7 Plus are finished in plastic, a resistant and very economical material that has become one of the best allies of the big players in the smartphone sector to shape low-cost terminals while maintaining “reasonable” hardware.
The Moto E7 should be in the range of 100 euros, but after making a direct conversion from Canadian dollars to euros we have seen a result of 122 euros, too high a figure if we take into account what companies like Xiaomi and Realme currently offer in that price range. It is likely that since it is an early listing, the price has been inflated, and that in the end it ends up costing much less.
Moto E7 Specifications
- 6.2-inch screen with HD + resolution (1,520 x 720 pixels).
- SoC Snapdragon 632, a chip with a 1.8 GHz Cortex-A53 octa-core CPU.
- GPU Adreno 508.
- 2GB-4GB of RAM.
- 32GB-64GB storage capacity.
- Dual rear camera: 13 MP main, 2 MP depth sensor.
- 5 MP front camera.
- 3,550 mAh battery.
- Fingerprint reader integrated on the back.
- Android 10 as the operating system.
The Moto E7 presents an important peculiarity compared to other models located within its same price range, and that is that has a fingerprint reader integrated into the rear. Most smartphones between 80 and 100 euros lack this component to cut costs and reduce the sale price.
Regarding the SoC, I want to clarify that in some previous leaks had seen references to a MediaTek Helio, but right now everything seems to indicate that, finally, Motorola would have opted for a Snapdragon 632.
This new information fits perfectly with the leak of the Moto E7 that we saw recently, in which they also appeared: two new real pictures showing a fully functional unit. It is clear that Motorola has this smartphone ready, and that therefore its launch should take place imminently.
