Since its first arrival a few months ago, WhatsApp has been working on the development of new functionalities for stickers of your app, recently announcing the future arrival of the first animated sticker packs. However, it seems that messaging application would be preparing even more news for these.
Once again, the information reaches us via WABetainfo, who have detected the presence of this new function in the latest beta version of WhatsApp 2.20.198.5 for Android. The ability to search for stickers is currently in the development phase and what’s worse is that we don’t know when it will be available to the general public.
Thus, at the moment the presence of this new tool has only been detected in the version of the Android application, so as usual, it is very possible that we are going a first integration for users of this operating system, having to wait a little longer until you can see it integrated into your iOS application.

Although it is not a long-awaited function, without a doubt if you are one of those who use stickers very frequently, you will appreciate the possibility of having this search engine. And is that instead of having to review the groups of stickers one by one until we find them, now we can search for them through the words that appear in their informationsuch as the name of the stickers itself or its creator.
Still present exclusively for this beta version, for now it is not known when this new feature will be integrated. Although most likely we will see it along with the rest of the updates already advanced for them. And, as we saw a couple of months ago, the application is also preparing to add new animated stickers to WhatsApp. An evolution already present and very popular in its main competitor, Telegram, and that would bring it closer to the unified model of platforms with Facebook Messenger.
