We already have the definitive requirements from the PC version of Marvel’s Avengers. Square Enix has also confirmed that the compatible version will receive an optional texture pack high quality that will occupy (hold on, curves are coming) a whopping 30 GB of space. Yes, this texture pack occupies the same size as a full set.
The quality of the textures plays a fundamental role in the graphic section of a game, although when we move at high and very high levels it is usually difficult to tell the difference. I think we could be in a similar case with that texture pack, although in any case it is good to see that Square Enix has thought about PC gamers, and that it has developed a texture pack to take advantage of the greater potential of said platform. We will see, yes, if it really makes an important difference.
Regarding the technical section, we also know that the version of Marvel’s Avengers for PC will come with frame rate unlocked, which means that we can enjoy it on monitors with a high refresh rate, it will be compatible with ultra-wide monitors and it will be optimized to work seamlessly with a keyboard and mouse setup.
Without further ado we go to see the hardware specifications that we will need to move it.
Marvel’s Avengers minimum requirements
- Operating system: Windows 10 64-bit.
- Processor: Core i3 4160 or equivalent (AMD FX 4350, two cores and four threads).
- 8 GB of RAM.
- GTX 950 or Radeon R9 270 graphics card with 2 GB of memory minimum.
- DirectX 12.
- 75 GB of free space (without texture pack).
Marvel’s Avengers Recommended Requirements
- Operating system: Windows 10 64-bit.
- Core i7 4770K or Ryzen 5 1600 processor. We need four cores and eight threads, so here is an equivalence error, since the correct thing would be a Ryzen 5 1500X.
- 16 GB of RAM.
- 6 GB GTX 1060 or 8 GB Radeon RX480 graphics card.
- DirectX 12.
- 110 GB of free space (with the texture pack).
Overall requirements they are quite reasonable, I do not see anything exaggerated or any erroneous equivalence beyond that indicated in relation to the recommended AMD processor.
The closed beta of Marvel’s Avengers will take place on August 14 for those who have reserved the game on PC, and it will enter the open phase from August 21. It will remain open until August 23.
The game’s launch will occur on 4th of September on PS4, Xbox One and PC.
