CD Projekt RED has held a new Night City Wire event today, and in it has submitted new videos Cyberpunk 2077, his new and long-awaited project, which is scheduled to launch in November 19, 2020.
As our regular readers will know Cyberpunk 2077 has been developed as an intergenerational transition game, that is, it will come to PS4 and Xbox One, and will also have improvements in its version for Stadia, PS5 and Xbox Series X. As for Cyberpunk 2077 on PC, we know that it will look great thanks to the use of ray tracing applied to highlights, shadows, reflections and ambient occlusion, and which will be supported by NVIDIA DLSS 2.0 intelligent rescaling technology, which improves performance without reducing image quality.
Returning to the videos published by CD Projekt RED, we find different keys that cover important aspects such as the music, the weapons, the decisions we can make and, of course, the role of Johnny Silverhand. The RPG touch that Cyberpunk 2077 presents is perfectly integrated, so much so that from the moment we create our character we will have to choose between three different origins: “Street Kid”, “Nomad” and “Corpo”, which we can translate as a child of the street, suburban nomad and corporate boy, that is, a “big shot.”
Choosing one or the other origin will result in a totally different start to the game. This reminds me a lot of Guild Wars 2 character creation, where the first part of the story changed depending on the origin you chose. However, the impact of this decision will go far beyond the start of the game, as it will greatly affect our character, to his skills and even to the dialogues.
They have also delved into the specializations. We can focus on powerful, smart or technological weapons. Each one will have its own advantages, and we must be clear about them to be able to use them optimally. For example, smart weapons will make life easier for us by having tracking and tracking systems, while powerful weapons will allow us to destroy enemies more easily.
For the soundtrack CD Projekt RED has relied on the Swedish band Samurai which, curiously, also has a small role in the history of Cyberpunk 2077, since is the band that Johnny Silverhand leads, a character who is played by Keanu Reeves. I am not entertaining you anymore, enjoy the videos.
