It is official, Bandai Namco and Slightly Mad Studio, publisher and developer, respectively, have given the final requirements that Project CARS 3 will have on PC, and we can say that we have had a considerable surprise, since these have increased considerably if we compare them with the requirements of Project CARS 2.
I know it may seem difficult to understand, especially considering that it is a game that has been developed taking into account the limitations of PS4 and Xbox One, but I think it has a very simple explanation, and that is that Project CARS 3 also Coming to PS5 and Xbox Series X, which means the PC version it should have all the graphic improvements planned for the new generation. Hence the increase in requirements.
At a technical level Project CARS 3 uses the MADNESS Engine, which allows recreate cars and circuits with a high level of realism, reproduce day and night cycles with photorealistic quality and easily reflect different weather conditions that, as usual, will affect the driving and behavior of cars.
I do not make you wait any longer, we will see the requirements of Project CARS 3.
Project CARS 3 minimum requirements
- Windows 7 64-bit with SP1.
- Intel Core i5 3450 or AMD FX 8350 processor (quad-core).
- 8 GB of RAM.
- GTX 680 graphics card or equivalent (does not specify, but is roughly equivalent to a Radeon HD 7970).
- 50 GB of free space.
- DirectX 11.
- GTX 980 to play it in virtual reality.
In general the equivalences are not bad, although we must bear in mind that the Radeon HD 7970 it has aged better than the GTX 680And that allows you to perform better in certain cases. How we talk about DirectX 11, we can assimilate both.
Project CARS 3 Recommended Requirements
- 64-bit Windows 10.
- Intel Core i7 8700K or Ryzen 7 2700X processor.
- 16 GB of RAM.
- RTX 2070 or Radeon RX 5700 graphics card.
- 50 GB of free space.
- DirectX 11.
- GTX 980 to play it in virtual reality.
We have two major errors, the first is in the CPU equivalency, and the second is in the GPU equivalency. A Core i7 8700K has a higher IPC than a Ryzen 7 2700X, but it adds 6 cores and 12 threads, while the second has 8 cores and 16 threads. The correct equivalency would really be a Ryzen 5 3600.
As for the GPU RTX 2070 is superior to RX 5700 and it is very close to the RX 5700 XT. The most correct equivalency would be an RTX 2060, which performs slightly less than the RX 5700.
