Ahn’Qiraj was originally created to serve as the prison of the ancient god C’Thun after him, Yogg-Saron, Y’Shaarj and N’Zoth were defeated by the titans. However, a group of Aqir who would be known as Qiraji he overthrew the prison guards and was deformed by the power of C’Thun. Finally, C’Thun stirred his minions to retrieve Azeroth in the Changing Sands War. Only after great sacrifices the Qiraji was pushed back and sealed behind the Beetle Wall. Thousands of years later, the Qiraji are stirring once again and it’s up to WoW Classic players to stop them.

Hatchling of nozdormu

Players will also begin to gain reputation with the faction Brood of Nozdormu collecting silithid shell fragments from various silithid mobs. However, these items will only drop once players have collected the head of Broodlord Lashlayer from Blackwing Lair and have started the quest ‘The Path of the Righteous’. Alternatively, the shards can also be cultivated by a player if someone else uses the Proxy of Nozdormu item, which is also acquired from the drop shards.

Scepter of Quicksand and Lord Beetle

Once the players have a neutral or better reputation with the Nozdormu broodThey can begin a long chain of missions to reform the Scepter of Changing Sands needed to open the way to Ahn’Qiraj. The quest line will take heroes across Azeroth through the open world and on various final raids. The first player to complete these tasks and play the Scarab Gong in each realm will earn the prestigious title of ‘Scarab Lord’ and the Black Qiraji Resonant Crystal that summons a Qiraji mount that can be used anywhere. For 10 hours afterwards, other WoW Classic players who also reformed the scepter can tap the gong to get their own mount.

Qiraji Raids

Once a gong has been touched, Qiraji forces will spawn for 10 hours in various areas of Kalimdor, such as the Wastelands, Tanaris, and Silithus. Players helping to knock these enemies back will have the chance for rare drops in addition to Brood of Nozdormu experience, gold, and reputation.

Ahn’Qiraj Raids

When the invasions are finally forced back, the ruins of Ahn’Qiraj and the raids on the Temple of Ahn’Qiraj are immediately opened. Inside, players will battle many more horrible and powerful Qiraji as they advance towards a final showdown with C’Thun. Although the ancient God was mathematically impossible to beat in vanilla, it remains to be seen whether this will happen in the classic. If players can defeat Onyxia naked, perhaps they can find a way to succeed after all.
