Konami goes from arcade games to gaming computers

Known for having been one of the world’s largest consoles and arcade players, now the Japanese company Konami seems to be interested in making the leap into the gaming computer market, a desktop with three new models under its Arespear brand, the C300, C700 and C700 +. Although perhaps the most notable of these computers is that they are presented under the same tower design that, although opting for a more rounded design, slightly reminds us of the famous “cheese grater” of the Apple Mac Pro.

Looking at the components of the computer face we can clearly differentiate a great difference for the Arespear C300, raised for an entry-level segment, which will come equipped with an Intel Core i5-9400F, a single tablet with 8 GB of RAM, the GeForce GTX 1650 and a 512 GB SSD.

On the other hand, the two Arespear C700 and C700 + models aim at the high end, almost entering the highest range on the market. Thus, both computers will be equipped with Intel Core i7-9700 processors, two 8 GB DDR4 memories, the powerful GeForce RTX 2070 SUPER GPU, and two 512 GB SSD and 1 TB HDD storage units, in addition to the addition of a liquid cooling system for the cpu.

And is that the only change that will have the C700 + focuses on the inclusion of a transparent side panel and the presence of a customizable RGB lighting system in the frame.

Availability and price

Currently available through the Japanese website of Arespear, Konami’s first gaming computers arrive at prices ranging from 184,800 yen (approximately 1,500 euros) for the entry-level Arespe C300, and up to 338,800 yen (approximately 2,750 euros) of the Arespear C700 +; Although given the presence of some state-of-the-art components, it is actually quite competitive and attractive prices.

While Konami’s three Arespear gaming computers are expected to start shipping during the month of September under international availability, it remains to be seen the final prices for them, since beyond the direct change, we are already more than accustomed to seeing a surcharge derived from transport and tariffs.
