The Samsung Galaxy Note 20 Ultra goes through the FCC, mounts a Snapdragon 865+ SoC

It is official, the Galaxy Note 20 Ultra has been through the FCC, the United States Federal Communications Commission, a regulatory body that grants a certification whose obtaining is essential in order to market an electronic device in that country.

We have said a lot with very few words, but the important thing is that this means that the Galaxy Note 20 Ultra is ready to be released, and that no change can be expected either at the level of design or specifications. As our regular readers will know, the presentation of this terminal is expected on August 5, and will be accompanied by the Galaxy Note 20, the Galaxy Fold 2, the Galaxy Watch 3 and the new wireless headphones of the South Korean giant.

The passage of the Galaxy Note 20 Ultra by the FCC has allowed us to confirm that Samsung has opted for the Snapdragon 865+ SoC, a chip that will also be present in the Galaxy Note 20 and the Galaxy Fold 2. On the other hand, support for 5G and mmWave connectivity has also been confirmed. I remind you that the international version of the Galaxy Note 20, both the standard and the “Ultra” variant, will be equipped with an Exynos SoC without specifying, although everything indicates that Samsung will reuse the Exynos 990.

In another order of things Evan Blass, one of the most important and most reliable sources in the smartphone sector, has released a new high-quality render that has allowed us to see the final design of the Galaxy Note 20 Ultra in mystical bronze color. I must admit that I quite like that color.

Thanks to that render we can confirm everything we had seen about the Galaxy Note 20 Ultra on previous occasions. We have a finish in metal and glass, an all screen format with minimal borders and a Edge finish On the sides it extends the screen to create a very attractive “infinity screen” effect, and the huge rear island that houses the terminal’s three cameras is perfectly appreciated.

Both the S-Pen and the speaker have shifted to the left of the USB Type-C connector used to charge the terminal. Otherwise there is nothing to highlight, since Samsung has maintained the classic angular lines of the Note family. Before finishing, I remind you of the possible specifications, and prices, of Samsung’s new flagship smartphones.
