Behavior Interactive Announces Cross-Play and Cross-Save Coming Soon to Dead by Daylight

Crossplay is a mechanic that is increasingly in demand in video games in which the multiplayer mode is usually the main course or the only mode to play. The possibility of playing with players from other platforms has always been an idea that has amazed us and has proven to be beneficial for video games that have implemented it. Fortnite and Call of Duty: Warzone they are proof of the success of cross-play. Well, now Behavior Interactive joins the car with its Dead by Daylight.

Cross-play coming to Dead by Daylight

Behavior Interactive has announced that the cross-play Coming soon to Dead by Daylight, an asymmetric multiplayer video game in which 4 survivors must avoid being captured and killed by an assassin. All roles are adopted by players. The company has issued a statement announcing the arrival of this mechanic:

Now that all the lights are green, we are preparing to activate cross-play and cross-friends on consoles. In this scenario, Nintendo Switch, PlayStation 4 and Xbox One players will be able to play together and with PC people. We are polishing the last details to make sure it will only impact our game in a positive way.

Since we are still monitoring the situation and numbers on PC, we cannot give you a specific date for now, but we can definitely tell you that it will be coming very soon!

They have also announced that they are working on the cross-save, a mechanic that allows saving progress between platforms. That is: Our game will be the same regardless of the platform we choose to choose. We can play on PC and then continue on our Nintendo Switch, for example. Note that the cross-save would only apply between PC, Stadia and Nintendo Switch. PlayStation 4 and Xbox One will have to wait.

Dead by Daylight is now available for PlayStation 4, Xbox One, PC, Nintendo Switch, Stadia, iOS and Android.
