Confirmed the first companies that will be present at the Gamescom 2020 digital

The event GamesCom 2020 It looked like it was going to be canceled, just like E3 2020. However, the German fair announced that this year it would take place digitally due to COVID-19. Now the first companies that will be present at the event have been confirmed. And the thing promises!

Activision Blizzard, Ubisoft, EA…

The COVID-19 pandemic endangered the GamesCom 2020 event, as it already did with E3 2020. The difference is that while this last event was suspended, the German fair has managed to adapt and organize a digital event. It will take place from August 27-30, and will feature Gamescom’s classic Opening Night Live.

Well, we already know which are the first companies that have jumped on the bandwagon and will participate in the event: Activision Blizzard, Bandai Namco Entertainment, Bethesda, Electronic Arts, Koch Media, Sega Europe, Ubisoft… We see companies that have held their own events, like the Ubisoft Forward and Microsoft’s upcoming Xbox Showcase. On the other hand, Blizzard canceled its Blizzcon 2020, so the GamesCom 2020 will be the perfect opportunity to learn about news about World of Warcraft: Shadowlands, Devil 4 or Overwatch 2.

Electronic Arts could present a new Battlefield or Need for Speed, and news about Star Wars Squadrons; Ubisoft could present more news about Assassin’s Creed Valhalla or Watch Dogs Legion, and even present other forgotten ones such as Skull and Bones or Gods and Monsters.

Just over a month left for GamesCom 2020, which promises to be one of the most relevant events of the year.
