Taiwanese company has expanded its catalog of monitors with the ASUS TUF Gaming VG27VQ, a model aimed at premium “economic” gaming sector It has an attractive design and a set of quite interesting features.
The ASUS TUF Gaming VG27VQ is clearly inspired by the ASUS ROG series line, but he reinterprets it in a very particular way. Both on the front and on the back of said monitor we find details that remind us a lot of the ROG series of monitors, but the absence of the logo on the lower edge and the rectangular support base confirm that we are dealing with a different range.
Going to see its specifications we find a VA-type curved panel (1500R) with a size of 27 inches and a resolution of 1,920 x 1,080 pixels. We have a resolution and screen size ratio that positions it at the end of what is recommended, but you have nothing to worry about, it is more than enough to enjoy a good user experience, someone who until recently used a 28-inch monitor with 1080p resolution, flat screen and VA panel.
The ASUS TUF Gaming VG27VQ has a refresh rate of 165 Hz, supports technology AMD FreeSync, which kills the annoying problems of “tearing” (screen breaking) and “stuttering” (image stuttering due to frame rate out-of-sync), has a brightness of 400 nits, a contrast of 3,000: 1, It has a response time of 1 ms and offers viewing angles of 178 degrees.
The color rendering it achieves is quite good, thanks to the quality of its VA panel (it reproduces up to 72% of the NTSC color spectrum). It is adjustable in height, swivel and tilt, and comes with two 2-watt speakers. Regarding connections, it offers an HDMI 2.0 output, a DisplayPort 1.2 connector, a DVID-D and a 3.5 mm jack.
To improve the experience of use, the Taiwanese company has included in the ASUS TUF Gaming VG27VQ (4) the technologies ShadowBoost, that improves details in dark areas, and blue light filtering, which reduces the emission of this type of light to prevent the appearance of eye fatigue and take care of your eyesight, one of the most common problems when we spend several hours playing.
The ASUS TUF Gaming VG27VQ is already available in Spain with a price of 299 euros, VAT included, a reasonable price if we compare it with what we can currently find in the market with that same level of performance.
