Ubisoft has confirmed the requirements of Hyper Scape, a game that drinks directly from the concept Battle royale In its most classical form, and combines it with a totally futuristic setting, very fast and frantic action and important adjustments that are focused on preventing the fighting from going on forever.
At a technical level, the game is more than enough, but does not stand out in any respect. This helps us to better understand the Hyper Scape requirements which, all things being said, are quite reasonable for these times. Hyper Scape will be available soon on PS4, Xbox One and PC, which means that we are facing a multiplatform development that starts from the limitations of the consoles of the current generation, something that helps us to understand the requirements as well.
As on other occasions, Ubisoft has offered a total of three lists of Hyper Scape requirements, one focused on what we need to play in 1080p, 60 FPS and low quality; another with the same resolution and FPS rate but with High quality; and a third to play in 4K, ultra quality and 60 FPS. Interestingly, the settings necessary to play in 1440p, ultra quality and 60 FPS, but don’t worry, we are going to share with you an estimate.
Hyper Scape requirements: 1080p, low quality and 60 FPS
- Windows 7 64-bit or higher.
- Intel Core i3 3220 or AMD FX-4130 processor.
- 6 GB of RAM.
- GTX 660 or AMD Radeon HD 7870 graphics card with 2 GB of graphics memory.
Hyper Scape requirements: 1080p, high quality and 60 FPS
- 64-bit Windows 10.
- Intel Core i7 4790 or AMD Ryzen 5 1500X processor.
- 8 GB of RAM.
- GTX 970 or AMD Radeon RX 480 graphics card with 4 GB of graphics memory.
Hyper Scape requirements: 1440p, ultra quality and 60 FPS
- 64-bit Windows 10.
- Intel Core i7 4790 or AMD Ryzen 5 1500X processor.
- 8 GB of RAM.
- RTX 2060 or AMD Radeon RX 5600 XT graphics card with 6 GB of graphics memory.
Hyper Scape requirements: 2160p, ultra quality and 60 FPS
- 64-bit Windows 10.
- Intel Core i9 7900 X processor or AMD Ryzen 5 PRO 3600.
- 16 GB of RAM.
- RTX 2080 Ti or AMD Radeon RX 5700 XT graphics card.
There are two major errors in the equivalencies within this last level for playing in 4K. The first thing we must be clear about is that when uploading the resolution CPU requirements are not increasedAs the weight falls on the GPU, the processor dependency is greatly reduced. This means, in summary, that we could easily maintain the Intel Core i7 4790 and AMD Ryzen 5 1500X to play in 4K. The Intel Core i9 7900 X or AMD Ryzen 5 PRO 3600 are also not equivalent at all.
On the other hand we have another serious equivalence in graphics cards. The RTX 2080 Ti is far superior to the Radeon RX 5700 XT. The correct equivalence to the latter would be an RTX 2070, a graphics card that only performs a little less than that. AMD currently has nothing to compete with the RTX 2080 Ti in terms of gross performance, something that we hope will change with the arrival of the RDNA 2 architecture.
