Earlier this year, Star Wars fans welcomed the news that Star Wars Episode I: Racer was coming to PlayStation 4 and Nintendo Switch consoles. The title originally released in 1999 was expected to arrive today, May 12, but it was announced that the wait will be longer to play it.
A release that will ultimately not occur as the best known pod racing title in the Star Wars universe has finally been delayed indefinitely. A delay that, as the developer has pointed out in an official statement, will not be carried out today due to inexorably the coronavirus that has affected the premiere of the game.
We are so excited to share Star Wars Episode l: Racer with you soon! Unfortunately, due to the ongoing work from home requirements across the industry, the game will be further delayed on Nintendo Switch and PlayStation 4. We’ll be back with an update as soon as possible.

What’s worse for Star Wars fans is that the studio didn’t give a new release date, so as of yet, the release date is undefined. The good news is that Aspyr promised to update the information as soon as possible.
