Satya Nadella, CEO of Xbox, has released a report announcing that the Game Pass service has broken the record of 10 million subscribers. These record figures will not surprise anyone considering the current crisis due to COVID-19 or Coronavirus, which has forced citizens to spend more time than they have ever spent at home. Subscription services such as Microsoft’s Game Pass has been the route that many users have chosen to entertain themselves, specifically up to 90 million users on Xbox Live.
On the other hand, Xbox Game Pass has more than 10 million subscribers and we have seen increased monetization of content within the game and services. Without a doubt, Microsoft’s Xbox Game Pass service is happy for a large majority of players, as it gives access to a large catalog of old and new video games. In addition, Amy Hood, CFO, has pointed out that video game revenues have been better than expected and that xCloud now has hundreds of thousands of users in the preview phase across seven countries, with eight more to be added in the next few weeks.
