Despite being a young brand, Realme has advanced by leaps and bounds to become a real competition, mainly for Xiaomi, since both are betting on mobiles with an unbeatable price / quality ratio. However, despite going very well with mobile phones, Realme still lacked entering the world of wereables. That is, gadgets that you can carry with you; like watches, smart bands or wireless headphones.
With this in mind, Realme began by presenting this year the Realme Band, a very complete smart band at a very good price. But there is still more to see, the next to arrive will be the first smart watch from Realme. We are talking about the Realme Watch.
It is not yet official but there is no doubt that the Realme Watch exists and that we will know it very soon. Or at least that’s what the CEO of the company has implied in a recent question-and-answer video.
Possible specifications of the Realme Watch
Chances are you have a 1.4 inch TFT LCD touch screen with 320 x 320 resolution. It should also include a 160 mAh battery, capable of guaranteeing up to 7 days of autonomy. As if that wasn’t enough, it is likely IP68 certified, making it resistant to water and dust.
Among the sensors it should include, it is expected to have Bluetooth 5.0, an acceleration, heartbeat and blood oxygen sensor. Unfortunately, it is unlikely to include GPS. In addition, it also seems that it will not have Wear OS, instead it would use an operating system developed by Realme itself, with the intention of further reducing the final price.
Unfortunately, at least until now no official representative of Realme has given more information about this wereable, in addition to the square design and the odd hint.
Regarding the competition, we can not think of another but Amazfit, a brand with great experience in the development of bands and smart watches that, in addition, has the support of Xiaomi. In fact, this year Amazfit has presented very interesting models such as the Amazfit Bip S, so we can say that although the Realme Watch looks very good, when it arrives in stores it will have strong competition, not only for specifications but, unless that we get a surprise, also for prices.
Unfortunately, we still don’t know when the Realme Watch will be launched, but everything indicates that it will be in a very short time, perhaps a couple of weeks. Furthermore, this team is likely to be launched first in India and then reach more parts of the world, including Spain.
On the other hand, among the rumors and leaks, nobody has yet spoken of prices, but what we can be sure of is that it will have a price very close to that of the Amazfit Bip S, its main competition.
