Qualcomm and BOE partner to add in-display fingerprint readers in a lot more phones

BOE is among the greatest show makers in the world. It is the second-largest smartphone OLED maker after Samsung. Now, Qualcomm has partnered with BOE to add its 3D Sonic Sensor onto the Chinese firm’s versatile OLED shows.

According to Qualcomm, this partnership is meant to present a more streamlined resolution to OEMs. The collaboration is alleged to provide more alternatives to design cutting-edge merchandise – in areas like 5G, XR and IoT – that function OLED shows made with the Qualcomm 3D Sonic fingerprint sensor expertise.

Up until now, solely Samsung has launched phones that use Qualcomm’s 3D fingerprint sensor.

As per the brand new collaboration, BOE will provide built-in shows with Qualcomm 3D Sonic fingerprint sensors to its clients. Further, the merchandise are anticipated to be made accessible in the second half of 2020.
